Way Behind

I can't believe so much time has passed since I posted. Things have been going okay. I have been busy studying for 8 December test. This weekend I really feel like I am getting a jump on it. I hit panic-mode last week but that helped. It is part of my test preparation to panic at some point.

I feel wonderful. Started going to a chiropractor. I was scared but desperate. It has worked wonderful. I feel wonderful and I have been able to stop three medicines that medical doctors had said I would be on for life. That's right THREE MEDICINES - GONE!!!

Work has been busy but not terribly. Time is going by fast. Residential construction is still very slow but M has stayed busy. He is started a bank remodel next week that will take him through end of this year. He has a few houses lined up for next year already, and several recent homeowners have been taking advantage of his slow work time to get him to make some furniture.

Right now M and his brother and nephew are working on sheetrocking the master bath area of our house. It has been open to attic and heat just pours out of it. With winter finally making its presence know, I figured we'd better get it closed up. Remodel is going slow but we were prepared to do it as we have time and cash. We didn't want to go into debt for it. Mostly it is time. There is never enough time.

M flew to Indianapolis a few weeks ago for Colts-Patriots game. They had a great flight and a great game. Last weekend, he went with some family on a 4-wheeling trip. I was jealous. I haven't been in over two years thanks to arm problems. Now I finally feel like I will be able to go again maybe next year. We are talking about doing a Colorado mountain trip with 4-wheelers again. That has to be done during summer because of snow and ice considerations.

We had some people over for poker last night and Buffalo Wild Wings. It was fun. We watched OU football. #5 OU stomped #2 Texas Tech. However, in order to have a chance at championship game, OU fans have to root for Texas Tech next week. Don't you love the BCS!

L isn't working for M right. Things were slowing down and we didn't want to have to lay her off at some point with short notice, so we encouraged her to get a better job. It was time for her to get some health insurance and other benefits anyway. She got a good job working for 7-11. Sounds odd but very good pay and excellent benefits. I am proud of her. She is a hard worker.

L also kicked out boyfriend out. It was a hard decision, but I am glad and proud of her. She went through worrying about being alone, both in a relationship and just her fears of being in apartment alone. Her boyfriend had some serious issues that were not compatible with L's hard-work ethic, etc. It is a shame because I think he really learned some bad habits from his parents that will effect the rest of his life. His parents have nothing and no motivation and it has just carried over to him.

Needless to say the wedding in March is off. I am sad for L, but so very proud of her. This is a tough decision for anyone, let alone for her.

I am going back to studying now. I have one more book to cover of material then I have to start reviewing and taking more practice tests, flash cards, etc. Will I ever be done with study and class work!?!?!?!

Hi D - I was starting to worry! What class are you studying for?? More info via email, please. And glad the chiropractor is working. Reminds me that I was doing a lot better when I was going to be adjusted a couple times a week, myself - so perhaps I'll start doing that again.

Glad you are writing again! Miss you!
